Kensington Market is set to shut things down as of Saturday, May 25 after serving the community with fresh seafood, butcher cut meats, homemade pies, and other produce for years on Howard Avenue.

"This has been a difficult decision to make and we will miss serving the Kensington community so much," the owners posted on their website. "We'd like to sincerely thank you for your support over the years."

Moving forward, the owners at Kensington Market suggested that for similar fare, shoppers can head to their sister stores Pescadeli and Butchers Ally on Bethesda Row.

"Come see us over the next week, we will have some items discounted and we'd love to see you one more time," they added.
